"BUC's"
Mission
The mission of the Brookdale Buccaneers swim team is to provide its young members with an opportunity to participate in the Naperville Swim Conference summer team program and to do so in a manner that:

Commits to a structured, fun-oriented program

Provides opportunities for swimmers to develop to their fullest potential

Encourages team spirit, open communication and sportsmanship

Develops self-esteem through the accomplishment of individual goals

Allows for a safe, healthy and memorable swim club experience

Fosters a life-long love for the sport of swimming.
Eligibility
Swim team is not intended to supplant swimming lessons. It is about improving your swimming abilities in a fun, but competitive, environment.

All swimmers must know freestyle and backstroke

6 years and under must swim 12.5 yards of freestyle and backstroke

7 years and over must swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke (breast and fly is optimal too

Proof of proficiency can also be provided from a Learn to Swim program by producing a certificate that asserts that your swimmer meets the minimum requirements or has completed the appropriate level.

Stroke Clinic Information
The BRC’s Brookdale Buccaneers Swim Team coordinates the Stroke Clinics. Stroke Clinics are not a substitute for swim lessons. Stroke Clinics provide advanced Bucs swimmers the opportunity to perfect proper stroke, start, and turn skills.

BUCS Stroke Clinic 2: June 26-June 30

BRC Members on Swim Team register under “Team Events” on the Bucs website and chose which clinic you want (stroke or start/turn). Payment information will be sent to Swim Team Families directly.Y ou must register by the Wednesday prior to the clinic start date.
